August, the month of FYF Fest, a two-day LA based festival at Exposition Park.

Also known as Fuck Yeah Fest is the last “hoorah” of summer before students head back to school and work is in full-swing. Exposition Park is right next to the LA Coliseum near the University of Southern California and offers a lot of grassy spaces, as well as Instagram-worthy pictures (we know that’s what people care about most).

FYF Fest represents multiple genres including rock, indie, and electronic music which brings a diverse group of music lovers together. The festival also includes various art installations and sculptures and a unique night market where food can be purchased during the concert. Last year’s FYF included five stages: The Woods, The Arena, The Trees, The Lawn and the Main Stage all of which had their own vibe and style. Goldenvoice helps set up festivals like FYF Fest Coachella, Stagecoach and Firefly. So if you haven’t been to Coachella, check out its baby sister that’s closer to LA!

This year’s lineup offers yet another eclectic group of artists like heavy hitters Kendrick Lamar, Tame Impala, LCD Soundsystem, Rae Sremmurd and Grace Jones. Other artists include Hot Chip, Air, Alex G, Father John Misty, Beach House and Bank & Steelz.

As of now, 2-Day and Sunday single-day passes are still on sale. If money is a little tight for you this year, but you still want to go to FYF check out Amoeba Music for giveaways! We definitely recommend taking the metro down to FYF fest to save on gas and parking, especially in DTLA. The metro lets off right on Exposition across from USC and the LA Coliseum.

FYF happens the weekend of August 27 and 28th at 2 p.m. and ends at 12:30 a.m.

Watch out for lineups as it comes closer to the festival. Let us know on Twitter if you’re coming and what you’re most looking forward to at FYF.
